Tonight is the debut of "Whiskey Wednesdays" at the Savoy Taproom in Albany."As if we needed another reason to drink," says the announcement. "Join us for the debut of 'Whiskey Wednesdays' where you may indulge in either a featured whiskey cocktail, a featured whiskey by the pour, or both."
The featured whiskey for the series debut will be Old Forester 1897, named for the year the federal "Bottled in Bond" regulation went into effect. To be so-labeled, whiskies must have been the product of one distillation season, one distiller and from one distillery. It also must have been aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof.
