Another pop-up for in-development Troy tonic bar/cafe

Yiyi Mendoza and Adam Elabd
Tonico is making sure people get an opportunity to try its wares before it opens this spring at 40 River Street in Troy.

The in-development cafe and tonic bar will be involved in a pop-up event at the Sunhee's Farm & Kitchen restaurant, 95 Ferry Street in Troy, from 5 to 7 p.m. this Thursday. Tonico made its pop-up debut at the Superior Merchandise coffee during last month's Troy Night Out.

The spousal team of Adam Elabd and Yiyi Mendoza, the people behind Tonico, will be on hand at Sunhee's to share the back-story of their concept as well as their vision to revitalize traditional methods of food production.

Kimchi samples and complimentary bites by Sunhee's will be part of the kombucha/tonic drinks/snacks offerings. In addition, happy hour specials will include $3 rice wine spritzers and specialty soju cocktails.
